In conjunction with the opening of the SB 2008, the National Arts Council of Singapore - official organizers of the Biennale - together with Fortune Cookie Projects hosted the first Showcase Singapore with the participation of 23 specially invited galleries from several countries.

The strategic aim of Showcase Singapore is to provide Asian collectors with the opportunity to see major work by internationally-recognized artists and to offer Western collectors and art professionals a platform to experience new cutting-edge work being produced by artists from around the region.
