Sculpture Quadrennial Riga 2008
Call for Proposals

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia through the Centre for Art Management and Information (MMIC) invites artists to submit proposals for Dictatorship of the Majority - Sculpture Quadrennial Riga 2008, an open-air contemporary art exhibition that will take place in Riga, Latvia 29 August - 10 October, 2008.

Any professional artist from any part of the world is eligible.

Each selected artist will be awarded 4000 EUR for the implementation of the proposed project.

The artworks proposed must be constructed to withstand variable weather conditions, outdoor city environment and endure 6 weeks in public space. Up to 20 artworks will be selected and temporarily installed in Riga.

Applications can be submitted until 1 April, 2008.
