Short news & tips Arts in Marrakech Biennale 2012 First held in November 2005, the Arts in Marrakech (AiM) International Biennale focuses on cutting-edge contemporary art, literature and film. AiM seeks to promote the status of the artist and contemporary culture in North Africa and to dynamize the regional creative scene, enabling discussions with and between artists. In February of 2012, Arts in Marrakech will launch its fourth edition under the title Surrender, featuring key figures in literature, film and visual arts. From 29 Feburary - 4 March 2012, public screenings, talks, performances and debates will take place at different venues around the city. Higher Atlas will be the title of the Main Visual Arts Exhibition. Curated by Carson Chan (* 1980, architecture writer and curator) and Nadim Samman (* 1983, independent curator and art historian based in London) it will be on view at Theatre Royale until 3rd June 2012.
